Syracuse's UNDERGROUND POETRY SPOT is blazin' tonight with MIC THA POET as host...
Tonight our featured poets are Rob McNeill aka "WORDS" and Ousmann Richard Diallo aka "LOGIK"
"Words" is a dedicated wordsmith and a regular at the UPS, who also co- hosts on tha popular web program www.LCXradio.net. You def know him on this website for his tribute to yours truly - a piece he simply called "Words for Mic Tha Poet." (below) R.E.S.P.E.C.T. WORDS brings poetry to rhythmic motion with clever metaphor and constant imagery. We have established a great friendship and i know i can trust WORDS to give a great featured performance. Can't wait to see him put it down tonight. Video highlights a sure thing to come...
"Logik" is tremendous poet, hailing from SU's Verbal Blend Program, with charming stage presence embedded in his natural humor. Like his name states, his poetry employs a logical approach to deciphering tha many concerns of collegiate youth, while never taking himself TOO seriously. Tha result is a fluent entertainer who captures tha hearts of tha audience through laughter and our common senses. I have had tha pleasure of getting to know LOGIK a little through my various involvements with tha University's spoken-word scene, and we shared tha opportunity to perform on tha same stage in Queens recently. He is a natural crowd pleaser. Again, video to come...
